Today’s post is submitted by Molly Pettit; all 21 in 21 texts can be found here (updated daily) When I was in the planning process of creating a new advanced course aimed at freshmen and sophomores, I reached out to our AP teachers asking for novel suggestions. In particular, I asked our AP Bio teacher if he had a recommendation for a great nonfiction book. Literally 10 minutes after that email was sent, he was in my room with The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks in his hands. “This is your book,” he told me. I picked it up and started reading and did not put it down.
